Miss Jasmyn Steels

Nice to meet you all,

My name is Jasmyn Steels or Coach Steels. This will be my first year at Cedar Hill High School and my second year as a classroom teacher. I will be the assistant coach for girls cross country and track & field. I have accomplished and recieved my master's degree in Natchitoches, Louisiana at Northwestern State University. During my time there, I participated as a student- athlete in track & field. I went on to recieve many awards and accomplishments in the sport with traveling across country, recognition by the state, hold a collegiate record, and have competed in the Olympic trials. With this being said, I hold myself to very high expectations as these expectations will be transferred to your scholars and their work ethic, participation, and their personal goals in my classroom.

My goals for the classroom are to provide an engaging environment to prepare young scholars for the road ahead of them, either it be college, the work force, or the military. The classroom is the basis of where learning takes place and my goals are to utilize your scholars to obtain confidence in their abilities, create a positive atmosphere where anything is possible, and create resiliance when it comes to learning hard things. I believe in all of my scholars and I appreciate all parents for allowing your scholar to accomplish greatness at Cedar Hill High School.
