Mr. Ross Skaggs

Hello Fellow Longhorns!

My Name is Mr. Skaggs and I will be teaching 5 World History courses and 1 Dual Credit course this year. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's Degree in History, with a minor in Military History.This will be my first year teaching and my first year at Cedar Hill High School. 

My classroom expectations are consistent effort and integrity. Students should come to my class prepared to engage the material on a higher level. 

My teaching philosophy is that every student deserves the best education available to them, regardless of any circumstances. It is my job as a teacher to provide support and guidance to each and every student I interact with. 

My goal for this year is to help every one of my students reach their academic potential and launch them into the next year of their lives fully prepared for what comes next.

All assignments and important information for my classroom will be posted in Schoology. I encourage all students to check their Schoology accounts daily, and for parents to check in regularly. 

Students will need their school-issued Chromebooks, something to write with, and either a folder with loose paper to write on or a notebook.
