Powell-Cleary Gayle

Hello, I am Gayle Powell-Cleary and I am greatly honored to be serving the students, parents and community of Cedar Hill High School. Even though this is my first year as a member of the Cedar Hill High School family and community, my educational experiences cover a span of 28 years in various positions in both elementary and secondary education. I am very excited to be a LONGHORN!!  The process of life-long learning, sharing of knowledge and skills is one of my deepest desires in the educational arena.  I have a Master Degree in Human Resource Training and Development, Master Degree in Educational Administration and Master Degree in Educational Technology. My philosophy encompasses the theory that “Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be” according to Rita Pierson. The passion and dedication that I have devoted to my craft affords me the opportunity to become that much needed champion for every student in the Cedar Hill Independent School District. I strongly believe that an effective instructor/leader is one who not only actively pursues life-long learning for personal gains, but also has a vision of reaping valuable results which will affect learners as well as the educational institution or organization he/she is affiliated.
