Master Sergeant Dannion McLendon
Master Sergeant (Retired) Dannion McLendon has been serving as a member of the Air Force Junior ROTC Aerospace Science Instructor (ASI) team at Cedar Hill High School since February 2018.
MSgt McLendon is originally from Memphis, Tennessee. As a military child, he moved around and graduated high school from San Angelo Central, San Angelo, TX. He entered the Navy in January 1991 and later crossed over into the Air Force in 2001. He has held various positions within the Dental specialty. MSgt McLendon was elevated to the position of Superintendent of the 23d Aerospace Medicine Squadron at Moody Air Force Base, GA.
Prior to retirement, MSgt McLendon held the title of Superintendent of Inspector General, Complaints and Resolution, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. In this capacity, he advised the Wing Commander on IG complaints, resolution, and Fraud, Waste & Abuse issues. He was responsible for providing official responses to MAJCOM, SAF, DOD, Congress, and the White House. Master Sergeant McLendon was obligated, to educating 10,000 military, dependents, and civilians for Moody AFB and Geographically Separated Units in 3 states on IG policies, member rights, and protected communication.
MSgt McLendon retired from the U.S. Air Force in October 2017 after serving over 26 years-of-service.
