Greetings!

My name is Tamera L. Jenkins-Wade and I am one of the High School Counselors at CHHS.  I have taught here for the last 14 years and I have been in education for 18 years.  It takes a very special person to be an effective counselor. Counseling is not just a profession, but it should be a passion. Knowing that you have the pleasure to aid in the great success and achievement of young people is something wonderful, regardless of their various beginnings. I am from a small town called Marshall, Texas and I am the second oldest of seven children. I have lived in Cedar Hill for over 20 years.  I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, shopping and laughing.  Last but certainly not least, I am a proud Christian and God is the center and foundation of my being.

I attended and received my Bachelor Degree at Wiley College "Home of the Great Debaters"  and my Masters of Education(2010) and Masters of Counseling in Family/Marriage(2015) at Liberty University. I am a teacher, counselor, mother, wife, sister and a daughter and I do not take either role lightly.  I take pride and great pleasure in giving 100% in every capacity of my life!
