Mr. Matthew Banks

My name is Matt Banks and I am a first year Anatomy and Physiology teacher at Cedar Hill High School. I teach mostly juniors and seniors. I have worked in education for 7 years spending time in different roles, such as, a paraprofessional, educational assistant and PE teacher. I also have other professional work experience as an Ophthalmic Technician for six years. I assisted in cataract, cornea, and glucoma surgeries as well as managed patient care in the office.

I have an Associates Degree in Medical Assisting, a Bachelors Degree in Sports Science with a concentration in coaching, and a Masters Degree in Sports Management. I also coached basketball for 6 years at both the high school and collegiate levels.

I am thrilled to be teaching at Cedar Hill, where I have the ability to prepare students for the fast-paced and always entertaining world of healthcare.
