"Excellence is our STANDARD not our achievement!"

LEAD.SERVE.SUCCEED.

Mission: "Developing citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community"

Goal: At Air Force Junior ROTC, our program empowers students to LEAD with integrity, SERVE with purpose, and SUCCEED in school, career, and life—while reflecting the core values of the United States Air Force.

.LEAD
We develop confident, capable leaders who demonstrate responsibility, discipline, and teamwork.

Our cadets will:

  • Build leadership skills through hands-on roles, teamwork, and command responsibility

  • Practice ethical decision-making grounded in Air Force Core Values

  • Communicate effectively and lead with confidence in academic and real-world settings

  • Take initiative and model positive behavior on campus and in the community

SERVE
We inspire cadets to serve their school, community, and nation with pride and respect.

Our cadets will:

  • Participate in meaningful community service and civic engagement
  • Demonstrate respect, accountability, and service-before-self attitudes
  • Strengthen school culture through involvement, teamwork, and school pride
  • Understand the importance of citizenship and community responsibility

SUCCEED
We prepare cadets for success beyond high school—college, careers, military, and life.

Our cadets will:

  • Develop employability skills such as professionalism, time management, and collaboration

  • Set and achieve academic, personal, and leadership goals

  • Build confidence, resilience, and a growth mindset

  • Graduate prepared for postsecondary opportunities and lifelong success

Instructors:
All AFJROTC instructors are retired Air Force commissioned and non-commissioned officers. The instructors maintain Air Force standards and are trained through the AFJROTC Academic Instructor Course. They are full-time faculty members of the participating high school and are employed by the local school board to teach AFJROTC classes. There are more than 1,910 instructors serving in the 870 units around the world.
